Copies, duplex, colour, tray, and for labels darkness and speed. What you leave out, the printer's own settings decide.

Turned away before paper is wasted.

Each job is checked against the printer before it waits. If they don't match, your app hears why at once, and nothing prints.

Printed means the printer took all of it. Came out right means a person said so.

Each change is a job.state_changed webhook with a sequence number, so you always keep the newest.

Signed as Standard Webhooks say (HMAC-SHA256), and sent again for about a day until you answer.

Never twice. Never late.

Every job carries an Idempotency-Key, the print's id in your system. Send it again, and you get the same job, for 30 days.

A job that can't reach its printer in 15 minutes expires, so a label never comes out hours later. Set anything from 1 minute to 24 hours.

Keys that do only their job.

Each key can print, see jobs, see printers or manage webhooks, on all printers or the ones you choose, until a date if you like.
Keys start with pl_, so secret scanners find a leaked one.
A new secret keeps the old one working for an hour, so printing never stops while you change it.

Up to 20 MB a file.
120 jobs a minute for each key, 600 for the account.
Every error as problem+json, with a plain reason.
